This song came from a realization I had after listening to a lot of Christian music. So much of it focuses on struggle, pain, and getting through hard times. And while that’s real and important, it made me think… what about the other side? What about the joy? What about the victory we already have in Christ? “Joy Like Thunder” was created to capture that feeling. The kind of joy that’s not quiet or hidden, but loud, bold, and unshakable. The kind that comes from knowing God is good, life with Him is full, and no matter what comes, you’re standing on solid ground. This isn’t a song about barely making it through. It’s a song about living in victory.
