The Story Behind the Song

I created “Follow the Sound” as a way to launch the new Tanner Family Music Facebook page with energy and purpose. I didn’t want the first post to just be an announcement. I wanted it to feel like an invitation. This song is about more than promoting a page. It’s about inviting people into something rooted in faith, hope, family, and music that lifts up the name of Jesus. Tanner Family Music exists to share songs that encourage people, tell real stories, and point hearts toward the Lord. So for this first-page launch, I wanted a song that felt joyful, bold, and welcoming. Something that says, “Come be part of this. Come hear what God is doing.” And just like the message in the song says, the music here is free. That matters to me. I want people to be able to listen, enjoy, and download these songs without barriers. My prayer is that “Follow the Sound” helps introduce people to Tanner Family Music and reminds them that faith really can become sound.
